The Epic Unfolds- (Told from Garrett's point of view)
Chapter 1:
Once upon a time there were two ska kids. one was named Garrett and the
other was name James. Garrett liked all kinds of music and had been in all
different kinds of bands. James was into all different kinds of music also
and had jammed with many a people. Walking into geometry class one day,
Garrett was contemplating starting a ska band for some time now. The first
person that came to mind was James.
Chapter 2 (Night of the One Acts):
After deciding upon starting the band with James, Garrett went to see the school
one act plays in anticipation of seeing James after the show since he was in two
of the plays. After enjoying some good productions of student produced
plays, Garrett waited in the lobby at the theatre of Grayslake High School and
saw James protrude from the backstage doors. Garrett congratulated James
on a successful performance and then popped the question. Haha, it sounds
like Garrett just asked James. James responded with a "Yeah!"
Chapter 3 (Other Members):
Garrett and James went through possible members and immediately decided to
incorporate Sean Murray into the mix on bass. Garrett and James had both
jammed with him on different occasions. Then came a drummer. After a
long while they decided on recruiting Zack Milanovich. Then they asked Jon
D. and Max Meyer to play trombone and tuba. The band was now
complete. Now...PRACTICE!
Chapter 4 (Destination Unknown) No one seemed to have
any focus on the band. After a few weeks, the band still had nothing
to show. Garrett and James, being the creators of this band, were
not satisfied. So they decided to start over with Sean still on
bass, Jarad K. on drums, and Kyle, Andrew, and Billy on horns. Chapter
5 (Hey baby got a show tonight, Are you Gonna Be There?)
After playing a few shows, the band recorded low quality recordings of
three of their songs in James' basement and Jarad's basement. After contemplating
the notion for sometime, the band decided to give the boot to Billy.
Now they are currently recording a good quality version of their four favorite
songs. Chapter 6 (stay tuned kids).....
